The cosmetics industry is dedicated to the manufacture of products for local application, intended for the care and improvement of human skin, which do not cause undesirable side effects such as irritation, sensitization, or disturbance of vital functions.

Examples of cosmetic products are dyes, deodorants, creams, shampoos, soaps, lotions, perfumes, gels, softeners, shaving creams, essences, enamels, toners, and flavorings.

Some of the products that are made in this process are syrups, pills, emulsions, creams, gels, elixirs, and ointments. It also applies to medicines for veterinary use.

How do you get the quality of a pharmaceutical product? It is achieved by properly performing all the steps of the production process, from research to the final analysis of the final product, taking care of the selection of components and materials, and (of course) with the correct industrial agitation.

Mixers for the food and beverage industry

The food and beverage industry includes a set of activities aimed at the treatment, transformation, preparation, preservation, and packaging of food products such as dairy products, sauces, dressings, oils, fats, jams, and several types of beverages.

Commonly used raw materials have a vegetable or animal origin. They are produced in agricultural, livestock, and fishing exploitations.

The sugar industry is one of the activities with the greatest tradition and historical meaning in Latin America, for more than 500 years. 

This is the case of Mexico, where sugar is a general, accessible, consumer good that is available for the entire population. Additionally, the industry itself has been a source of long-term employment.

And what role do industrial mixers play?

Our mixers have special relevance in the sugar crystallization process, which is a chemical process in which the molecules form a crystalline network.

Such crystallization is carried out in industrial tanks known as bins, where the honey is deposited and the evaporation process continues until the crystals are formed to go through a centrifugation stage.

Water is one of the most precious resources on the planet and it has been one of the fundamental pillars for human progress. For this reason, societies have always had the goal of ordering and managing water resources.

In this case, wastewater treatment consists of removing polluting material from domestic or industrial use, to improve the quality of the water, which can be reused to reduce the impact of pollution.

How does the wastewater treatment process take place? These are its stages:

  • Physical treatment: it is the stage that aims to remove large and abrasive material. This is carried out in the roughing, sedimentation, filtration, and flotation stages.
  • Chemical treatment: it is the stage where the biodegradable organic matter is removed, the stability of the colloidal particles is broken to separate them. To do this, coagulation, flocculation, and decantation operations are carried out.
  • Biological treatment: it is the stage where pollutants are eliminated through biological activity. The most used processes are spray filters, activated sludge, stabilization, and aerated lagoons.

Mixers for the mining industry

Mining is an economic activity of the primary sector, represented by the exploitation or extraction of minerals that have accumulated in the soil and subsoil in the form of deposits.

This industry carries out many processes to extract the properties of each mineral, and one of the most important is agitation leaching, where the pulp formed by fine particles is agitated. This process is generally used in the extraction of copper, silver, and gold.

In the international market there are two types of crude:

  • Light crudes, which are more valued and from which high-value products such as fuel, gasoline, and diesel are obtained.
  • Heavy crudes, which are difficult to refine due to their high viscosity, high sulfur indexes, the constant presence of metals and asphaltenes, and low distillation performance. It is the most abundant in Mexico and requires special treatment for oil recovery.

Where is industrial agitation applied?

Regarding the oil industry, agitation is involved in each of the steps: from exploration to commercialization of products. One of the crucial processes of agitation is the treatment of heavy products.

When the correct agitation is applied in the treatment tanks, the oil extraction efficiency increases, avoids major sedimentation problems, increases heat transfer, and reduces the residence time in the bed.

Mixers for the chemical industry

The chemical industry deals with the extraction and processing of raw materials, both natural and synthetic, for their transformation into other substances.

Industrial agitation in this sector plays a vital role since its correct application avoids end products with unwanted isomers and residues, caused by the inequalities of solid concentration or temperature of the agents.

Besides, the mechanical, physical, and chemical properties of any heterogeneous product also depend on the degree of mixing.

Some of the operations for chemical transformation are crushing, solids suspension, dissolution, sedimentation, flocculation, coagulation, dispersion, filtration, crystallization of products, and extraction of materials.

Mixers for the paper industry

The paper industry is among the largest in the world, as there are factories in more than 100 countries. 

Additionally, it is highly diversified by the large number of derivative products that are manufactured today. Therefore, it is not surprising that the rate of consumption of pulp and paper is an indicator of socio-economic development in several nations.

Among the most used products are packaging, cardboard, boxes, confetti, paper for printing and writing, toilet paper, napkins, wet towels, among other derivatives.
